The Power Tower by XMark with heavy bag stand provides the user with a well rounded workout experience. The heavy bag station provides excellent training for both martial arts or boxing, in addition to an excellent cardio workout. We’ll find out how consumers rated the quality of this product in addition to what they had to say about the ease of use, effectiveness and pricing.
Fitness towers are an amazing addition to any type of home gym but they come at a price. If you are on a tight budget for a machine that will help you get perfect core muscles, then the XMark Power Tower isn’t a great solution due to its price tag. It can workout almost any muscle group in your body and has the option for a heavy bag, allowing for some boxing cardio exercises but is also quite demanding in terms of dimensions.
Overview And Features
The Xmark workout system also comes equipped with a power tower station that targets the core and abs and a vertical knee raise. You’ll be able to get the challenging workout you need right at home by performing pull-ups, dips, push-ups and chin-ups. You’ll be able to use a heavy bag up to a hundred pounds, however, the heavy bag is sold separately. Made from fourteen gauge steel, the deluxe power tower by Xmark is covered by a lifetime in-home warranty.
Every part of the construction here is made out of 14-gauge steel which is powder coated in order to prevent any scratches. That adds to the rigidity but also makes the tower quite heavy, so moving it around would happen easier if you just disassemble the whole thing.
The cushion feels very comfortable for the back then you are doing leg rises. It is 2.5 inches thick and is double stitched to prevent any wear. The duraguard vinyl is also sure to stand the test of time.
As a whole, everything here feels premium but so does the price tag. At least, when you are training and using the Power Tower you will literally feel what your money has gone into.

The usability on this thing is absolutely brilliant. You can do anything from pull ups to leg raises and all sorts of other exercise variations.
That is the charm of a fitness tower and this one is no exception. Unlike other core training machines, there are no instructional DVDs here that can show you the possible exercises you can do. That is a missed opportunity for XMark to show off what their product allows you to do in our opinion.
Heavy Bag & Assembly
Because the machine is top heavy it will wiggle around as you work the heavy bag. You can fix this issue by placing some rubber mats under the machine, preventing it from traveling across your floor. You can also purchase a bag anchor which prevents the bag from swaying too much and causing shifts in weight distribution. Other consumers gave this machine a lower rating based on the time it took for them to assemble it.
On average, assembly can take one to two hours. The machine weighs around a130 pounds making it difficult to move and requires a permanent spot in your home, which means it’s not a good option for smaller dwellings. The Xmark deluxe power tower received a rating of three out of five stars based on the pricing, the setup time required and issues with machine stability during heavy bag use.
Pro Tip: Make sure you leave enough room around it if you are planning on putting a heavy bag on the other side of the tower. Boxing or kickboxing requires a lot of place for movements and you might break something if you don’t arrange the room accordingly.
Limitations for the Deluxe Power Tower
Consumers appreciated the machine’s high quality design and it measures at just over seven feet tall. Some consumers had complaints regarding how the unit moves when hitting the heavy bag, however, consumers did not consider this a safety issue. This product is not recommended to users over six feet in height. Issues tall users ran into when working out on the Xmark power tower included the unit’s back pad placement set too low, when compared to the arm rest, which makes it difficult for taller users to perform leg raises, and the arms are too close together for performing dips.
The included instruction manual is easy to follow, however be prepared to put in some work to assemble this piece of equipment. The machine comes with adapters for weight plates which allow you to use Olympic plates in order to weigh it down. Because the machine is a separate unit that’s not attached to your home’s structure this means that you won’t cause any damage to your walls, and it also helps to keep your workouts quieter.
